In my opinion , they are stuck like that forever. The society did really well to hide all the knowledge from the people. They dont need to ask questions, cause everything is there for them. They all know everything is there for purpose. But one day, one of the people will find out and realize the truth. Like us, we are controlled by the society. We are told what we must do. We can ask many questions, but it will lead us to nowhere. That's why sometime is not good to know the truth. So the will be stuck there forever,.
Of course it's possible. A drug addict can change, a prostitute can change.. In a way, the citizens of the world state are a all those, driven by sex and plearsure. But nobody is ever stuck.
In my perspective, the people in the World State are more likely stuck in their beliefs. Since they are heavily conditioned, it would be very hard for them to change their way of thinking towards their society. IF ever they'd learn something different from the rest, change isn't necessarily done. Change must be done by everyone and not just one. It would be considered as a violation if one thinks and changes for himself alone. Hence, they remain stuck in their beliefs, and stuck with the flow of their society.
I think people in the World state are gonna be stuck in their beliefs because they are heavily conditioned all their life. I also think that if they are gonna change their beliefs it is gonna take a long time for them. But, I don't think it is impossible for the World State to change because I think people can change if they try really hard to change.
i dont think they can change .If they were to come to our world and live the life we live .They would find it to hard and to savage from their life style and and cause we do not have soma and all drugs are illagal will probebly kill them selves .
I think that if a person in the world state tries very hard to change, then definately they can. But it would be very hard because all the people in the world state are the same and they all have the same beliefs. If they do decide to change they might be an outcast to the society. But any peron can change. - Nina
I think most people in the "World State" are stuck on their believes, they get when they are children. Usually we don´t forget all those important thing we learn as a child (reading, eating, walking). So I think the "World State"-inhabitants might not be able to learn and consider or argue, rather they stay with the common opinions and believes, they get as children. Julian
in my opinion, i think they are stuck to their believes because they are conditioned to think and behave in a specific way.People believe in certain things because they have been raised that way and it is very hard to change someone's opinion specailly if they have grownup hearing the same things over and over again.
They stuck forever like that. They have lived since they were babies in Brave New World which means that they have brain washed for their whole life, so they adapt to be controlled by society everything they do. If they are able to learn something and change new things, there are a lot of pains and shockes for them absolutely. Let's think that we live in Africa to adapt with new environments and new cultures. Can we? I think it is impossible. We can't adapt new things and people in Brave New World can adapt with new things to change or learn.

I think they are brain washed so i think they cant think or make choices for themselves. Even if they could do that they wouldnt be allowed because they have restrictions... They cant break they rules because they get punished and tortured by getting electric shocks
I think it will be very diificult for the people to change espeially the older ones. If you have been beliving in something your whole entire life it may be hard to change that belief.
